Elisha + Jack's Elopement at the Blue Lakes | Colorado Elopement

I had the privilege of photographing Elisha + Jack's elopement at the Blue Lakes in Colorado recently, and it was such a wonderful day. They not only eloped at one of the best places to elope in Colorado - they also involved their kids and made the entire day about them, and only them! It was so dang special to witness & capture.

This Colorado elopement was super special and unique for a few reasons. First of all, Elisha + Jack brought their kids along! Because who says you can’t involve your kids in your elopement? It’s one of the biggest days of your lives, and is a huge day for your little ones, too!

Before the ceremony, we got an extra dose of adventure when we got locked out of our car. We had to have help breaking back in - that was a fun time!

Elisha’s sister officiated their ceremony, with their kids watching in awe on the sidelines. They snuggled up on some blankets, dressed up as freaking cute as can be, watching their parents promise their love to each other and adventure together. It was so beautiful to watch.

After the ceremony, we continued exploring and saw so many mountain goats! The kids loved it. Then we ate pizza & cookies afterward while Elisha + Jack signed their marriage license - what better way to celebrate?

The outfits

Elisha wore the most incredible gown from All Who Wander that featured gorgeous lace floral design, spaghetti straps, and beautiful patterns all the way down to the bottom. The way this dress blew in the wind during their vow exchange was to die for.

And if you weren’t already obsessed enough with her look, she also wore an amazing hairpiece with her low updo - a super gorgeous bejeweled floral piece. Hairpieces are such an easy way to uplevel your bridal look!

And Jack rocked an emerald green suit - I’m ALL about colored suits for grooms these days!! Say goodbye to boring blacks, grays, and navy blues - you’re allowed to branch out to other colors, materials, patterns, etc.! The green tone looked incredible against the mountains & the blue water in the background, plus his boutonniere looked fire.
