Glamis Sand Dunes California Couples Session | Dani + James

I have never felt more of an out of body experience than I did when arriving at the Glamis Sand Dunes in California for the first time ever. It felt like I was on mars, or some of other planet, not in the bottom of California. What the heck you guys. Also at like 4 pm you could see the moon bright as ever! But man oh man was this day an experience.

We road tripped from Orange County, California out to Glamis Sand Dunes with Dani + James and their sweet sweet pup to spend the afternoon loosing out breath running on sand, loosing things in the sand (yep… my husband lost his wedding ring and after 20 minutes we found it!!) and falling way too much!

James spend most of the day throwing the tennis ball for their fetch obsessed pup, and even had a remote control car that she loved to chase. and yes… he did flip the small car a few times, we rolled in the sand, laughed til we almost peed (that would have been fun being in the middle of no where HAHA) and had the best night ever. But let me confirm for you, it was not all perfect.

While Dani took some photos of Tay + I after the sun went down, James went to take their jeep for a few spins on the dunes.. well next thing we know something gave out in his front tires and their jeep was stuck at the very bottom of a huge sand dune. LUCKILY!! Dani + James ran to a campsite, Tay and I stayed with the jeep and truck, and found some very nice men who were able to help James exchange the part and get him out, so of course we celebrated the late night with Carl Jrs chicken nuggets and fries and man was it all worth it. Cause isn’t that a fun story?!
