How to elope at Paint Mines Colorado

Meet the couple of this Paint Mines Colorado Wedding.

Schanel and Stetson are two of the most genuine loving and care free people you will ever meet, which is why it is not shock they had their Colorado Wedding at the Paint mines. When deciding all their details, all they cared about was being together and getting to promise these things to one another forever. Schanel obviously wanted to wander around with her bare feet, because she is just that type of gypsy soul. Their love shines like the moon, which made its appearance at the end of the night. They have laughter you can hear for miles that will make you laugh for days on your own. They truly did go with the flow and did exactly what they wanted to do, they did not let anyone decide for them what to do. They went with their guts and heart and it was the most perfect day ever for the both of them and everyone involved.

How to plan your elopement at the Paint Mines in Colorado.

Planning your elopement can feel like such a huge thing to do, but the beauty of an elopement is there is no one to please, except for the two of you. So when it comes to planning, all you need to do, is sit down and decide what is important to the two of you, what describes your relationship, and how you can make this the best damn experience for everyone involved, including yourself. Your elopement can be as simple or detailed as you want it to be, whether it is just the two of you or you have your friends and family and even furr babies involved, it 100% will be custom to you and your relationship. Fun fact: Colorado is the only state you do not need a third party (pastor, friend or ordained person) to get legally married, you just need you and your partner!! So this makes eloping in Colorado such a BREEZE!!

So let’s talk about a few different things for your elopement! Colorado has some extreme winters, and out at the Paint Mines, the winds and cold currents can be HARSH. The paint mines also tend to get super muddy and slippery after winter until all the snow has finally melted, and the sun has dried up all the mud. So these are a few things to consider when decided when you want to elope at the paint mines. The paint mines also require a bit of a walk, so when planning, make sure all people involved are able to walk at minimum .5 miles up and down some somewhat steep hills! Also consider what you bring with you, whatever you bring with you will also have to be taken out with you! This is a perfect example of Leave No Trace, do not leave anything in the park or on the ground! Here are a few leave no trace practices to consider when planning your elopement:

  • do not leave any florals or plants on the ground

  • do not pick any wild flowers or plants

  • pick up and pack out EVERYTHING you brought in

  • stay on ALL trails, do not make your own!

  • if popping champagne, keep the cork and plastic so it doesn’t get lost!

  • do not harm the wildlife, or nature plant life

  • pick up trash as you see!

  • pay any entry fees in order to sustain the park!

These are just a few of the MANY ways you can practice Leave no trace when eloping anywhere in the world!

How to find your Paint Mines Colorado Wedding photographer.
