Crested Butte Winter Elopement

Hey Friends, welcome to this magical winter elopement in the breathtaking landscape of Crested Butte, Colorado. Bridal couple Emily and Ian chose a wonderful remote Airbnb location to celebrate their special intimate elopement with family and friends.

Crested Butte is the gateway to the Elk Mountain Range in the southwest region of the Colorado Rockies. Renown as a great adventurous resort town for hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities.

Crested Butte high mountain range ski town is not far from Aspen and is around a 4hr drive from Denver and Colorado Springs. Flights from airports at both Montrose, a 90min drive, and Gunnison, a 30min drive from the location, are also an option. Co-ordinates for this pristine destination Crested Butte, Colorado 38°52' 8.6874"N 100°0' 0"W.

Emily and Ian couldn’t wait to begin their married lives together in one of the most beautiful locations in the U.S. They were intentional about having their immediate families and a very small group of friends to share their elopement in Colorado. Emily, Ian, and their guests created lifelong memories, and it was a privilege to capture some awesome photos for them. Going on an adventure elopement photoshoot to a magnificent destination is one of the joys of being a traveling photographer. This intimate and adventurous winter wonderland wedding was celebrated during October, with snow-capped mountains and light snowy ground cover.

Elopement venue Airbnb: Colorado

Airbnb’s are a cozy, comfortable, relaxing way to have an intimate elopement. Emily and Ian found the perfect mountain Airbnb in Crested Butte, Colorado. The views from inside and outside are stunning, and it is set on beautiful land with plenty of room to explore. Comfortably accommodating their nearest and dearest, this gem vacation home sleeps 22 people and pets are welcome too. The living room was transformed into a dreamy, romantic boho/vintage reception space. Soft amber lighting and table settings of rustic terracotta, caramel, khaki, white, and wood were enhanced with gorgeous floral arrangements. Emily and Ian had their first dance as husband and wife as their best friends played guitar and sang.

About The Couple: Colorado Elopement

Every elopement I have had the privilege to photograph has been unique and this is no exception. Firstly, Emily had her dad walk her down a guest-filled path at the front of the home to Ian and an awaiting car. Secondly, they were whisked away to the nearby lake for intimate personal vows. Thirdly, there were plenty of epic sunset elopement photos taken by the lake, in golden fields, a snow-covered road, and rocky mountain surrounding. Lastly, they returned to the Airbnb for a fun-filled time of feasting and celebrating with loved ones at the reception.

Emily glowed radiantly in her beautiful wedding dress, intricately detailed for a bohemian-inspired celebration. A sweetheart neckline, floral lace applique, sheer long sleeves, and an A-line soft tulle skirt with a puddle train. Some of the winter snow elopement photos during sunset include a gorgeous deep red frayed edge knitted wrap. Her half up, half down cascading soft curls with floral bridal clip looked so pretty. Emily’s bridal bouquet of ranunculus, roses, dahlias, and more was outstanding thanks to local florists, Bramble and Floral.

Ian looked classic in a super cool rustic brown suit with a sand linen shirt, tan suspenders, and boots.
